2018 Festival

19th Keswick Film Festival
22nd - 25th February 2018

Keswick Film Festival returns for its 19th year with its acclaimed blend of the best films from the world's greatest festivals, thought-provoking documentaries, plus some retrospectives and very special guests.

As we try to decide which of the current crop of films from around the world we should see, Keswick Film Festival 2018 will also chart some of the degrees of separation between today's directors, stars and the characters they have portrayed over the years.

Our short film competition, The Ospreys, will undoubtedly entertain and amuse, and maybe give us a first glimpse of tomorrow's film makers. And once again KFF will again be making best use of Rheged's huge Imax screen.

Don't just take our word for it! This is what our audience said about the last festival:

An outstanding choice of films and a very friendly atmosphere
Love the festival. Been for the last three years and will return next year
Everyone really friendly, great time indulging a passion for film within a gorgeous location and plenty to explore

Osprey Short Film Awards

We are now accepting entries for the next Osprey Short Film Awards via FilmFreeway.

We're looking for films made this year, under 10 minutes, with a link to Cumbria or the Festival.

2017 Festival

Revisit the 2017 festival, where we were joined by Greta Scachhi and held the first Critics' Award with Matt Glasby, Karen Krizanovich and Ali Catterall. Life, Animated, We Are Many and Paths of the Soul were the highest rated documentaries. Loving was voted the best dramatic film, with Manchester by the Sea and Tanna not far behind.
