Keswick is a beautiful town on Derwentwater in the Northern Lake District. But isn't as far away as you might think...
From the South take the A66 westbound from Junction 40 of the M6. (please note that the scenic route from Ambleside and Grasmere is currently closed)
From the North it is possible to leave the M6 at Carlisle and take the A595 towards Workington and then take the A66 to Keswick. Staying on the M6 until Junction 40 may be more direct.
Due to the recent flooding some routes remain closed. Please check the Official Keswick Website for the latest information.
